Why We Celebrate Diwali ?
Diwali is one of the most important festivals in India. It is celebrated by Hindus all over the world and is a celebration of good over evil. There are many myths and legends surrounding the festival of Diwali, but at its core, it is a celebration of light over darkness. It is a time when families come together to share food, gifts, and prayers.
Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, is celebrated by Hindus all over the world. But why do we celebrate it? What significance does it have? Diwali commemorates the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom of Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. He had been sent into exile by his father, King Dasharatha, because a jealous queen had convinced the king that Rama was planning to overthrow him. On his return, Rama was welcomed with open arms by his people, who threw a giant festival in his honor. The celebrations continued for five days, with fireworks and feasts and music and dancing. And so, Diwali was born. Today, Diwali is celebrated by Hindus as a festival of joy and light.
